Everything you need to know for B2B 2010:
Q. Where is Hash Central, and how do I get there?
A. The Andrews Hotel is at 624 Post Street between Taylor and Jones. If you're flying in, don’t bother to rent a car and drive, unless you want to pay big bucks for parking. Take BART from SFO to Powell Street Station, walk two blocks up Powell to Post Street.
Q. What should I pack?
A. Your costumes (see below), a small backpack for your B bag (bring one from previous B2Bs if you have one, we have a few to sell), a water bottle or Camelbak for roadies on Sunday (no float, no keg, stupid rules!), cash for pub crawls before and after official parties, cash or checkbook for optional haberdashery, dollar bills for MUNI ($2) or credit card for SF taxis, extra condoms, your cell phone.
Q. What should I wear Friday night?
A. A “mad” hat ! You might find something in our giveaways to use….
Q. What do I do if I missed the start or got lost on trail?
A. Call the Hash Hotline, 415-566-4274 (415-5-ON-HASH), for the latest info on venue locations and start times.
Q. What should I wear / bring with me on Saturday?
A. By popular demand, there is a theme! Saturday, Phallus Loves Seamen. You can wear your Sunday costume with a maritime twist, or dress as a pirate, wench, sailor, Village People, or just wear a navy shirt (we’ll have some on sale). The venue has very steep stairs and grated floors, so heels are NOT recommended. For the beer check, you may want to pack warm clothes in your B bag in case it gets cool. Stash your vessel in your bag!
Note, running the BallBuster in costume is not recommended. Pack it in your bag.
Q. What should I wear/bring on Sunday for the centipede?
A. Dress as your favorite Alice and Wonderland character, with a phallic twist! Chesire Pussy, Tweedle Diddle and Tweedle Cum, Queen of Tarts, Phallus herself, the Caterpillar, Mad Hatter, March Hare, playing card soldiers, etc. We’ll have props that “float” in lieu of a real float. You might want to bring a Camelback pack to store a roadie and/or a small pack to carry your vessel. We will have one or two beer checks along the way to the picnic.
Q. Where and when do we meet on Sunday?
A. At Cupid’s Arrow on Embarcadero and Folsom, at 7:15 AM. Sag wagon and beer will leave around 8AM. Don’t be late for this very important date!
Q. What happens after the official parties are over?
A. We have a fine grope of Hash Post-party Hosts who will lead you astray to your heart’s content. Phone numbers for transportation back to your hotels are listed on your name badges. After Monday’s Pink Tutu R*n, make your plans to join us again next year for the 100th Anal Bay to Breakers!
Q. How do I get my stuff from the run start to the venues?
A. Place ALL you need (warm clothes, wallet, whips/chains, extra drugs) in bag / backpack and place it in the Sag Wagon. We will get your precious cargo to you door to door.
Q. What is the latest I can arrive at the BBQ in Golden Gate Park?
A. Be there by 1:00PM to make sure you get your delicious warm food. The BBQ volunteers are usually up and running by 9:00AM to ensure you have warm food when you arrive at Stow Lake. Thanks B2B cooking crew
Q. How will I get back downtown after the BBQ?
A. Because we love you, we will provide a shuttle from Stowe Lake to Union Square, at 12:00, 1:30 and 3:00. Listen for announcements over the PA system.
